Cary Brothers – “Blue Eyes” & “Ride”

14 Mar

Cary Brothers is a talented singer-songwriter from Nashville. In anticipation to his new album, Under Control, which is due out on the 6th of April, I’ve been listening to his EPs and LP all weekend, and am blown away by his work, especially “Blue Eyes” and “Ride”.

“Blue Eyes”:

His music has been featured on movies such as Garden State, and The Last Kiss, and on several TV shows including Scrubs, Grey’s Anatomy, ER, One Tree Hill, Smallville, and Bones. He released several EPs leading up to the 2007 release of his debut album, Who You Are.  The album is phenomenal, and a must have to anyone who enjoys great and talented singer-songwriters. The two bonus tracks on the album are “Blue Eyes” which is on the Garden State soundtrack, and “Ride” which is on The Last Kiss soundtrack.

“Ride”:

“Blue Eyes” is one hell of a song. I can’t get sick or tired of hearing this song. It is chilling and moving -- so much emotion and depth. It is one of Cary Brothers’ defining songs. “Ride” is also a great song, and different from “Blue Eyes”. Some of the other standout tracks on the album are “Precious Life”, “Honestly”, “Think Awhile” and “All The Rage”.

I have high expectations for Cary BrothersUnder Control, which will be released on the 6th of April.
